RONY KARAM
President

Rony is the owner and CEO of the KDP group of companies investing in real estate (ownership & development) in Canada, the United States & Colombia. Prior to that Rony was the CEO of United Contractors & Engineers and UMD in Lebanon, building and developing commercial and residential projects (housing, resorts, universities, offices, shopping centers, hotels). Rony holds a BS in civil engineering from the University of Notre Dame (USA), a diplome des Grandes Ecoles from HEC (Paris) and a Certificat d’Etudes Politiques from Sciences Po (Paris).

ALFRED KETTANEH
Member

Alfred is the General Manager of Konsult sarl (Beirut), a financial consultancy boutique he started in 2005, after being CFO of CSC Group in Beirut and Head of Private Banking at Lebanon & Gulf Bank SAL, from 1995. Prior to that, he was a portfolio manager at Prudential-Bache Securities in Paris after having spent 3 years as a French and Swiss equity portfolio manager at the Olayan Group in London. He holds an EMBA from the American University of Beirut and a BS in Geology & Political Science from Northeastern University in Boston. As part of his philanthropic engagement, Alfred serves on the Investment Committee of Alfanar UK and as a board member of Alfanar Lebanon. 

TONY ABOU DIB
Legal Council

Born in 1965, Tony is a member of the Lebanese Bar Association and an active lawyer at the Beirut Courts. He holds a Law degree from the Université St. Joseph in Beirut and a Diploma  in In-depth Studies in International Trade Law from University de Paris 2 Assas / Panthéon. Tony is a passionate horseback rider.

IYAD BOUSTANY
Vice President

Iyad has worked in finance since 1997. He was in structured finance for 10 years where he closed more than $1bn of emerging market deals with notable first like the first securitization in KSA, the first in Lebanon, the first Sukuk securitization. All these deals won international awards from reputable institutions (Deloitte, Structured Finance Magazine, etc…) in Kuala Lumpur, London, Dubai… Iyad also worked in private equity where he managed the restructuring of a $500m KSA based PE fund, Iyad was the Chief Investment Officer (CIO). Iyad also advised sovereign wealth funds and sub-sovereign funds while with BSI a large Swiss Bank and subsequently was an advisor for a similarly large corporation in the MENA region. He is currently Managing Director of the advisory practice and M&A at FFA Private Bank. Iyad is a Math and Economics graduate (Universite Paris X, France) and holds a masters degree in structured finance from ESCP (Ecole Superieur de Commerce de Paris, France).

CESAR KHATOUNIAN
Treasurer

Cesar is a founding member of LFRE and brings 15+ years of experience in developing and executing renewable energy projects in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He is currently the chairman of Greenergy, a consultancy firm that supports developers and/or investors in creating opportunities and acquiring projects in the Middle East and Africa. Prior to Greenergy, Cesar worked for EDF Renewables where he headed the subsidiary in the UAE and oversaw the development of renewable power plants in the MENA region and established partnerships with local companies. Born in 1981, Cesar Khatounian holds a Masters’ degree in High Voltage Electricity and a BSc. in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from “Ecole Supérieure d’Ingénieurs de Beyrouth” (ESIB), Lebanon.
